Eight kinds of message Hostel Mitra sends on your behalf, so rent, receipts and complaint updates stop being something you type out one resident at a time.
Reminders fire against the dues the app generates automatically each month, which means a resident who has already paid does not get chased — the most common complaint about manual reminder lists.
Indian hostel residents read WhatsApp. They do not read email, and SMS increasingly lands in a promotions tab nobody opens. A receipt link sent on WhatsApp gets opened; the same link emailed usually does not. This is also why WhatsApp and the tenant app work together rather than competing — the message arrives on WhatsApp, the full record lives in the app.
Yes. Hostel Mitra sends eight kinds of WhatsApp message on the owner’s behalf: rent and dues reminders, payment receipt links, welcome messages for new residents, eKYC request links, complaint status updates, checkout alerts, subscription alerts, and broadcast announcements to every resident at once.
Reminders run against automatically generated dues, so residents who have already paid are not chased.
Yes. Broadcast announcements go to every resident of a property in a single action, on WhatsApp and in the tenant app. Use it for water shutoffs, festival timings, rule changes or maintenance visits — the things that otherwise get posted on a noticeboard nobody reads.
The announcement also stays visible in the tenant app, so a resident who missed the message can still find it.
