One rate, every feature, no tiers. Billing follows occupied tenants, so empty beds cost you nothing. Two-month trial on a real property before you decide.
Because billing counts occupied tenants rather than total beds, your bill tracks your occupancy. A property running half full pays half as much.
Worth being straight about it. Several Indian PG apps charge a flat monthly fee regardless of size — roughly ₹99 to ₹159 a month — and at least one is free. Per-tenant pricing is cheaper than those below roughly 5 to 8 occupied tenants, and more expensive above it. If you run a small PG, or a property whose occupancy swings through the year, per-tenant billing is usually the better deal. If you run 100+ beds at steady high occupancy, a flat plan will cost less, and you should talk to us rather than assume the list rate.
There are no feature tiers. The tenant app, WhatsApp automation, Aadhaar eKYC, multi-property support, team roles and every report are all included at the same rate.
Hostel Mitra costs ₹20 per occupied tenant per month after a 2-month trial. Billing counts occupied tenants, not total beds, so empty beds cost nothing. A 50-bed hostel running at 40 occupied tenants pays ₹800 a month. There are no feature tiers — every feature is included at that rate.
Because billing follows occupancy, your cost falls in a slow month and rises in a full one.
Yes. Hostel Mitra includes a 2-month trial, long enough to run two full rent cycles on a real property before you decide. Contact the team on WhatsApp at +91 94941 42694 or email support.hostelmitra@gmail.com to start it.
Two months rather than the usual 14 days, because one rent cycle is not enough to tell whether hostel software fits your property.
No. Hostel Mitra bills on occupied tenants only. A 50-bed hostel with 30 residents pays for 30, not 50. If a resident checks out and the bed sits empty, that bed stops counting toward your bill. This is the main difference from the per-bed and per-property pricing used elsewhere.
For a small PG, per-tenant pricing is usually cheapest. At 10 occupied tenants Hostel Mitra costs ₹200 a month, including the tenant app and WhatsApp automation. Free options exist in the Indian market, and flat-rate plans start around ₹99 to ₹159 a month, which become cheaper above roughly 8 tenants.
The honest question is not free versus paid, but whether you would rather pay with money or with your tenant list.
