Hostel Mitra is software for running a hostel or PG. Owners use it to track rent, residents, staff and money. It is not a booking marketplace, it is not a hotel property management system with OTA channels, and it is not a university hostel ERP with attendance and mess modules. Those are three different products for three different buyers, and being clear about which one we are saves everybody a wasted trial.
A few unrelated things share our name. Hostel Mitra is not “Mitra Hostel”, the traveller hostel chain with properties in Goa and Himachal Pradesh. It is not the student projects named “Hostel Mitra” or “HostelMitra” published on GitHub or Firebase. And it is not a hostel-discovery app for students. The only official Hostel Mitra properties are www.hostelmitra.com, app.hostelmitra.com, and the Google Play listing for com.hostelmitra.app.

We would rather say this than invent social proof. The trial is two months precisely because it is the only honest way to judge software like this.
A hotel PMS is built around nightly stays, channel managers and OTA bookings on sites like Booking.com. Hostel and PG management software is built around monthly rent, long-stay residents, beds within shared rooms, KYC on move-in and deposit settlement on move-out. Using a hotel PMS for a monthly-rent PG means fighting the software.
If your residents pay by the month and stay for terms or years, you want the second kind.
