RentOk is the larger and more established product, with an iPhone app and around a thousand Play ratings. Hostel Mitra is new and has none. Here is where each one actually fits.
RentOk has been in this market longer, has roughly a thousand Play Store ratings against our none, ships a native iOS app we have not built, and runs city-specific pages and video walkthroughs. If proven scale is what you are buying, that is a real and reasonable thing to want, and we cannot claim it. A comparison page that skipped this would not be worth reading.
Two things, and neither is a feature-count argument.
If your team needs iPhones, choose RentOk — we have no native iOS app and the web app in Safari is not the same thing. If you run a large portfolio at steady high occupancy, run the numbers, because per-tenant billing rises with size and theirs may not. And if you will not trial software without seeing an established rating first, that is a legitimate filter and we do not pass it yet.
If your property is small or its occupancy swings with an academic year, per-occupied-tenant billing costs less. If your warden or office staff work in Telugu or Hindi, that changes daily usage more than any feature on either site. And if the thing eating your evenings is residents messaging you about dues, the resident app is the part that addresses it directly.
Alternatives used by Indian PG owners include My PG Manager at ₹159 a month flat, Hostel Manager at ₹99 plus GST, the free ManagR, and Hostel Mitra at ₹20 per occupied tenant. RentOk remains the most established with a native iOS app; the alternatives differ mainly on pricing model and language support.

No. RentOk publishes a native iOS app and Hostel Mitra does not. Owners, staff and residents can sign in at app.hostelmitra.com in Safari on an iPhone or iPad and use the same account, but that is a web app, not a native one. If native iOS matters to your team, RentOk is the better fit.
